Wadada Lifestyle

Wadada Lifestyle

Over the last five years Wadada Movement has created a truly warm and engaging lifestyle brand for themselves. In this collection they wanted to take the opportunity to showcase their unique island style, which included paring crop tops with maxi skirts. In the Wadada Lifestyle collection we observe the flawless execution of their staple skirts; the A-line, the gathered and the full skirt. The stretch and non-stretch cottons mixed with corduroy and the culturally themed prints that the sisters choose raised them to another level of greatness.

Revolution

Revolution

The twin’s fifth collection entitled Revolution is definitely their most militant designs to date. In this collection the sisters channelled their rebel side to build a collection that took them out of their box. Using stretch cotton and sheer black lace the sisters shocked audiences with some of provocative pieces, but kept the balance between the fabrics setting a president for what sexy militancy should look like.

African Princess

African Princess

The Wadada twin sisters chose to explore their love for the African continent, and it’s diasporas in their debut collection because it was important for them to emerge from the ‘roots’ and grow. Through their collection they take you on a journey of survival retelling the story of an African princess through textiles and colour.

Summer Love

Summer Love

The chilly winds have passed, the sun stays with us longer, and the grass is beautifully green. The memories of summers gone, and thoughts of summers to come. To lay in the fields surrounded by life, this is what Summer Love is about. The warmth of the colours, the elegance of the aesthetics, and the flow of the satin-voile breathes life into Wadada Movement’s third collection.

Nous Sommes

Nous Sommes

After setting the stage with their African Princess collection, the Wadada sisters designed their second collection much more personal. In year two the sisters discovers that the world isn’t as fair and pleasant as they expected. It became clear that they must stay true to themselves. Nous Sommes when translated reads “We Are” is the perfect title for this collection because the sisters wanted to create a collection that expressed their personal style.

She's Royal

She's Royal

The forth collection designed by the Wadada sisters brings back the concept of royalty. While living a Rastafarian lifestyle, the sisters were drawn to a Queen’s state of mind. For them this includes but is not limited to their dress code, an attire suitable for a Queen. Through the progression of society many woman have lost connection with their intuition and their femininity.
